Every customer is unique, as are each of our custom built enclosures. Here are some general “Outdoor Education” FAQs and answers pertaining to Suncoast Enclosures that you may have from your initial investigations into our products.

For questions about your specific home or commercial application, please contact us. We will be happy to give more detailed information and help you create BETTER OUTDOOR LIVING!

The frame is fabricated from maintenance-free, powder coated aluminum. All the aluminum extrusions are manufactured exclusively for us and incorporate a patented system that locks the screening in. This prevents it from being pushed out or becoming saggy over time. The covering can be made of fibreglass mesh or polycarbonate plastic, which we import because it’s 80% stronger than local products.

There is no cleaning of glass, no breakage, no plastic surface scouring or color fading of material.

The other major component is know-how. It requires proper procedure and knowledge to assemble these materials into the finished product. This is where we excel, having more experience in this field than anyone else in Canada.

For pools, this means you spend your time swimming instead of cleaning. Also, an evening swim or a weekend barbeque becomes much more enjoyable without the harassment of flies and mosquitoes.

If you enclose your deck, patio or gazebo, it becomes your outdoor living room and allows you to open up your house and lifestyle. Because the screen is transparent, it lets the sun in and won’t inhibit the views you enjoy. Yes, you can still suntan through it, although if protection is what you want, we have a shade cloth to limit the sun or act as a privacy wall.

Should you require a solid roof, we use a long life tinted polycarbonate plastic. It looks much nicer than corrugated products and lets enough light in so as not to darken adjoining rooms. Combinations of these materials can be used to achieve the desired results.

Suncoast Enclosures come in all shapes and sizes and the cost reflects the size and type of material used to build your enclosure.

In any case, you will find the price pleasant and affordable. Screen room prices are surprisingly low when compared to glassed-in enclosures.

Last but not least, there is no property tax adjustment with a screen room.

Yes, every job is custom built. Measurements, design and dialogue are essential. Options will vary to suit individual needs. We will give you an accurate and firm price to the penny.

We design each enclosure exclusively to compliment your home and landscaping so that it will be a beautiful addition.

Our larger beams allow us to freespan up to 7 meters so most areas can be accommodated.

A 4 Season Room would be considered a major renovation/addition to a home residence or commercial space. It entails tying into existing heating/cooling system of the building and having significant insulation (R-value), as well as substantial foundation construction to support/connect to existing building. They have double or triple pane glass or windows comparable to what you find in typical construction. These rooms are generally very costly to construct and add to ongoing heating and cooling costs over time. These rooms become part of the existing indoor space and can be used as any other room for all 4 seasons of the year.

A 3 Season Room is a simpler addition added to an existing deck or patio area. It is connected to the building envelope of a home or commercial space to keep out elements such as snow, rain and wind. There is typically very little or no alterations made to the existing foundation as the materials are lightweight and flexible. The windows are a single pane memory vinyl material that block the wind, maintain heat in the room from solar gain, or can be easily opened for full ventilation. Suncoast can custom build a 3 season room to connect seamlessly and match existing architecture of any home or building. 3 season rooms help moderate temperature outdoors and allow more comfortable use of “outdoor” space in the spring, summer, and fall. While they are heated and used often through the winter, they don’t require or have the significant insulation that allows for use in cold winters days. The cost of a 3 season room is significantly less that a 4 season room.
