What to Do If Your Bottom Bar Gets Stuck

If your screen gets stuck when you try to lower it, one of the first things to check is the bottom bar. The bottom bar is designed with some play on both sides to allow proper sliding up and down. If it gets shifted to one side, it may pull out of the track, causing it to bind and not go down all the way.

To fix this, simply slide it back into the center position between the two tracks. The track is designed to guide the bottom bar down, with lips on both sides to keep it in place.

Also, check the bottom gasket, which is the rubber strip. It has a bit of play and may slide to one side. This is normal, and the rubber can expand and contract over time. If you notice a gap, it shouldn’t affect the operation of the screens.

Summary:

If your screen is stuck, check the bottom bar to ensure it’s centered in the tracks. If it’s shifted, slide it back into place. Also, inspect the rubber gasket, which can shift and may create a gap over time. This is normal and should not affect screen operation.
