Louvered Roof Trapezoid – West Vancouver

What a pleasure it was for us to work on this beautiful home in West Vancouver, right on the oceanfront, to build this Louvered Roof! The patio shape of this home was a trapezoid, and the customer was so excited to know that we would be able to build a louvered roof that truly matched the shape of their patio! While we were working on the design proposal, we explored the idea of building either a rectangular shaped louvered roof, or louvered roof that was built at an angle to match the shape of the patio.

Eventually we settle on this angled shape, and it turned out beautiful! Having a middle post across the front of their louvered roof was something that the client really wanted to avoid at all costs, and we were able to use our largest and strongest beams to accomplish a huge span between posts and provide an unobstructed ocean-view for this client!
