Company Profile

About Suncoast Screen Enclosures Ltd.

Suncoast Enclosures began in the late summer of 1991 when the founder/owner, Randie James, experimented with a product he had seen in Sydney Australia. A common sight in Australia and Florida, large screen enclosures with screening on both the roof and the walls were never heard of in Canada.

Canada, and particularly Alberta, boasts some of the biggest and meanest mosquitoes around. What better place than here to offer the solution to the nasty bug problem without the use of spray chemicals or fogs or smokers. Just screen them out! Screen rooms were shipped from Sydney to Lethbridge and Edmonton (the wind test and the snow test). Installers were brought over from Sydney to train local builders in the design and construction of the structures. Engineers were consulted about the materials and methods of construction. The screen enclosures were built and after a particularly cold and snowy winter in 91-92 the structures proved more than adequate for this climate.

Advertising was initiated, mostly at home shows and in local magazines, sales were made, materials ordered and the rest, as they say, is history. Now, most of the advertising is word of mouth. Eventually we began to offer screen rooms with polycarbonate (Lexan) roofs and with vertical 4 track vinyl windows.

We've expanded throughout Alberta, and have dealers in B.C., Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. We even stepped across the border and have dealers that serve Minnesota, Metro NY, Long Island, New Jersey, and South Connecticut.

We are actively looking for dealers for this great new product.
